Rio Ferdinand has revealed he has texted Bruno Fernandes after learning the Manchester United captain has rejected a huge offer from the Saudi Pro League.
The Saudi Arabian giants have been in the hunt for the Portuguese in recent weeks. And have been in direct contact with the player’s entourage last week.

The Saudi club have reportedly made a bid worth £200m over a three-year contract and are prepared to offer around £100m to United for the midfielder.
However, reports on Tuesday morning suggested Fernandes has made a decision on his future and has rejected the Saudi giants’ offer.
Ferdinand could not contain his joy at the news. He admits it made him very happy to hear the report.
“Listen, I have to be honest with you,” he said on his YouTube channel Rio Ferdinand Presents. “I don’t know if I would say no to him. He’s 30 years old and he’s at a club that’s struggling.”
He added: “Bruno is staying. He’s our top scorer, our top assister, our top creator, he does a lot of things and he’s our captain. “
I woke up this morning very happy and I sent him a message. I won’t go into details, but he’s a great guy.”
